Free Websites & Blogs

Personal websites and blogs can make communicating with family, friends and loved ones much easier during treatment.

The websites and blogs can be created and maintained by a spouse, partner, family member or friend who wants to help keep your loved ones informed.

Here are some we recommend.   All are free of charge.

Caring Bridge  www.caringbridge.org

Free, personalized websites.   Has a section for “My Story”, a journal, guest book for people to write to you, picture upload and links.  Easy to use and visually well-done.

CarePages  www.carepages.com

Free, personalized websites.   This popular website also includes support communities, recipes, prayer circles and products.

Blogger  www.blogspot.com

Free blog sites.   Interact with family and friends, post photos, all of it.  Easy to use. For some thoughts from a local caregiver and survivor who have been successfully blogging, click here.

Lotsa Helping Hands  www.lotsahelpinghands.com

This is a free web-based “caregiving coordination community.”   The coordinator of the site (you or a caregiver) posts needs on a calendar so that friends and loved ones can sign up to cover meals, transportation, medications, errands, whatever.
