For New Patients

Cancer treatment has many different components, and one of the biggest requests patients have is for clear, simple and complete information on how the process works, what to expect, and what can be done to manage any symptoms that occur.

Your oncology nurses (cancer nurses), radiation therapists (therapists), radiation oncologists (radiation therapy doctors), and medical oncologists (chemotherapy/hematology doctors) will be a great source of information.  In addition, the links below will help prepare and guide you through treatment.  Other resources can be found through the St. Charles Cancer Care Program Directory and we encourage you to utilize them as much as possible.

Remember, always tell your doctors, therapists or nurses about any symptoms or concerns you have, even if you think they may not be important.  We want you to be as comfortable and confident as possible through this healing process, and the best way is to ensure that is to know what you need.  You, the patient, are our top priority, always.
