Each year St. Charles Foundation awards scholarships to caregivers throughout St. Charles Health System. Scholarships are available for caregivers in nursing programs and for education or training related to current position or career advancement.
The Caregiver General Education Scholarship was established to assist St. Charles Health System caregivers who are seeking education related to their current position and/or to encourage career advancement within the organization. The fund was created by generous donors and is administered by St. Charles Foundation and Clinical Education at St. Charles Health System.
The Arlene Carlton Nursing Scholarship was established in 2010 to assist St. Charles Health System caregivers who are currently enrolled in a nursing program. The fund was created through a generous donation by Arlene Carlton’s family and is administered by St. Charles Foundation and Clinical Education at St. Charles Health System.
The Certified Nursing Assistant Scholarship – Level 1 or Level 2
was established to help CNA Level I holders acquire their CNA Level II certificate. It is sponsored by St. Charles Foundation and is open to St. Charles Caregivers as well as healthcare professionals in the community.
The Twylla Mae Knake Refresher Scholarship is for nurses who have let their license expire and who are in an approved nursing re-entry program. It was made possible by Kathleen Kemple Adams to honor her mother’s legacy.

2. If you already have an account, log on. If not, click “Create New Account.” The majority of communication is done through the email address you provide during registration, so please provide one that you check frequently.
3. Fill out a Letter of Intent (LOI). Once accepted, you will be given access to the application. Note:
Review of the LOI may take two to three days.
4. Complete the application and submit by the deadline at 5 p.m.
