The St. Charles Foundation
Contributor Supported Programs
Thanks to the generosity of the St. Charles Foundation family of supporters, innovative solutions to complex health care challenges exist in our region. Caregivers are better prepared to administer treatment and help patients heal. Urgent health care is more accessible and affordable to those in need. In short, miracles are happening every day. With ongoing support, they'll continue to happen for years to come.
Cancer Care
St. Charles Foundation donors support exceptional cancer care services including prevention, treatment, research, equipment purchases and patient support services. A host of community survivorship programs are funded exclusively with donor support. Visit our websites: Sara's Project, DEFEAT Cancer, CAN Cancer to detailed information on these vital community projects.
Heart Care
St. Charles Foundation contributors provide a comprehensive program of heart education, screenings, research and clinical treatment so that people in our region will live long and vital lives.
Mother and Child Services
Contributors support comprehensive family centered care in our Family Birthing Centers, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Unit, and Project Stepping Stones: prenatal education and family health support programs for uninsured, low-income women to promote baby health.
Caregiver and Medical Education
Providing a variety of scholarships for St. Charles Health System nurses and continuing education and training of non-nursing caregivers continues to be a Foundation priority. Opportunities include the Mary Ann Thomas-Hoosier Scholarship for nurses who are enrolled in advanced degree programs, training for Certified Nursing Assistants to obtain Level 2 certification, support of medical student rotations, advanced spiritual care studies and much more.
