Frequently Asked Questions

What is the mission of the St. Charles Foundation?
Our mission is to improve the health of those we serve in a spirit of love and compassion.

What is St. Charles Health System?
St. Charles Health System (SCHS) is Central Oregon's sole health delivery system with owned, leased and managed hospitals in Bend, Redmond, Prineville and Madras. In addition to hospital care, SCHS provides a full range of medical specialties and services.

Why does St. Charles need your support?
Our community faces a growing gap between the demand for health care services and the resources our hospitals can generate to maintain existing operations and programs and to meet our needs for the future. Through support of the St. Charles Foundation, individuals and organizations can play a vital role in bridging that gap.

Donor funds sustain and enhance the outstanding health care resources available to the community by expanding programs and services in vital areas, supporting physicians and staff and providing necessary support to improve facilities and equipment.

Who gives to the St. Charles Foundation?
The Foundation is grateful to have the support of thousands of individuals, companies, foundations and organizations. Community gifts of all sizes are profoundly important to the people to rely on St. Charles for care. Together we are making a loving and compassionate difference in the lives of the people we call neighbors, friends and family.

How can I get involved with the St. Charles Foundation?
Call or email us to discuss your interests. The Foundation is always seeking community partners and volunteers to help with our fundraising events. Serving on a special event committee provides an opportunity to meet new friends, work on fun projects and improve health care in your community.
