St. Charles Redmond to hold ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate remodel

Bend, Ore. — St. Charles Redmond is proud to announce its newly remodeled Family Birthing Center and expanded Emergency Department are complete.

Thanks to many generous community donations, this project upgraded the family birthing suites and made the Emergency Department registration and waiting area more comfortable and accessible.

"We hope all patients will enjoy the newly improved healing environment," said Bob Gomes, CEO of St. Charles Redmond. "As always, we take pride in being here to serve our community."

An open house celebrating the new spaces is scheduled for 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in the atrium outside of the Family Birthing Center. All are welcome to attend.

Suites at the Family Birthing Center were updated with Jacuzzi tubs, sleeper beds for family and charging stations for laptops and iPhones.

The Emergency Department, meanwhile, has a new entrance that allows easier access for patients and their families, as well as new private rooms to improve a patient's experience. The Outpatient Laboratory was also moved, providing added convenience.
