Dennis Dempsey, D.Ed

Dennis Dempsey is the school superintendent for the Catholic Diocese of Baker and the Central Oregon Educational Leadership Supervisor for the University of Oregon. He has served on the St. Charles board since 2001 and was on the Mission Effectiveness Committee from 1998 until 2001.

Dempsey, who lives in Sisters, has been an educator for 42 years, 37 of which have been as a school principal and a superintendent of schools. In his spare time he is a volunteer cross-country coach and football announcer for Sisters High School.

Reason for service: “I believe as a board member we have a sacred duty to help the people of St. Charles Health System and all our medical practitioners to provide the best possible health care for all the people of Central and Eastern Oregon.”
