"Benzodiazepines - How They Work & How to Withdraw"

Objectives
- Follow recommendations on CURES website for benzodiazepine prescribing.
- Manage the goals and limitations of benzodiazepine therapy with the patient, including the meaning of physical dependence and its implications.
- Recognize signs and symptoms of withdrawal.
- Implement validated clinical tools to assess and treat patients with these withdrawal symptoms and know when to refer.
- Utilize information relative to culture, age, and socioeconomics in indications and prescribing of benzodiazepines.
