Certified Nursing Assistants are an essential part of the care that our patients receive at St. Charles Health System. CNAs help our patients with activities of daily living such as personal care, maintaining mobility, nutrition and hydration and monitoring patient status and comfort.
CNA 1 wages start at $15 an hour and CNA 2 wages begin at $16.20 an hour. We post the ranges for listed openings online and base our offers on years of experience. CNAs are also paid a differential for relief (on-call), evening or night shifts.
Many CNAs move on to become registered nurses and work as CNAs while going through nursing school. This is a great way to experience health care in an acute patient care setting. CNAs may also go through health-related programs or transfer to other positions in the hospital system.
