About Guarraia

Dr. David Guarraia is the director of cardiac rehabilitation at the St. Charles Heart and Lung Center. He completed his graduate degree in pharmacology at the University of Missouri prior to attending medical school, where he continued his research with projects at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md., and at Cornell Medical College. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Arizona and his cardiology fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University, where he remained for 10 years after developing the academic medical center’s Columbia River Gorge outreach clinics in Oregon and Washington.

Guarraia joined St. Charles Health System in November 2018, and brings with him an interest in preventive cardiology in an attempt to improve long-term outcomes and quality of life with fewer medications or procedures.
