Joslyn grew up in the San Juan Valley of southwest Colorado where she grew accustomed to quick outdoor access. She attended Colorado College where she ran cross country and studied biology with an emphasis on ecology. This allowed her to study abroad in Brazil, Patagonia and Belize. She also met her now husband in their final year of school there. Having heard about the amazing landscapes and temperate rain forests of the Pacific Northwest, they relocated to Portland where they have been for the past 10 years.
In Portland, she worked at Oregon Health and Science University in women's health clinical research prior to attending OHSU to obtain her master's degree in physician assistant studies. While in PA school, she had multiple rotations in Bend which is where she and her family fell in love with the town, community, and all of its amazing outdoor accessibility. Since then, they have spent many family vacations, camping and mountain biking trips, and long weekend adventures in Central Oregon and could not be more thrilled to become permanent residents.
Since graduating PA school, Joslyn has worked in vascular surgery and internal medicine. From these experiences, she has been able to form her interests in preventative medicine, diabetes management, and women's health. Joslyn especially enjoys working with the geriatric population. Providing care in internal medicine affords her the opportunity to do all of these and more. She is excited to be a part of St. Charles and to serve the community.
"We are excited to welcome Joslyn as our latest provider. As a group, we were instantly drawn to her relaxed and approachable demeanor. Joslyn is going to be a great addition to our comprehensive Internal Medicine Clinic and we are thrilled to be able to provide our patients with improved access to excellent medical care."
