St. Charles offers health care career scholarships to Crook County residents

BEND, Ore. — St. Charles Health System is making available two $1,000 scholarships to currents residents of Crook County or graduates of Crook County High School both this year and the next.

Funded through dollars donated by the Prineville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Crook County Health Career Scholarship is available to students who are studying for a health-related career and who have completed at least 12 units of classes from an accredited community college, public or private college or university or an accredited career technical/trade school with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Selection is based on a combination of the following criteria:
  • Strength of application, especially short essays
  • Personal qualities as described by references
  • Academic achievement and perseverance
  • Financial need
