About Starr

Meg has been a clinician since 2001. She is happy to be part of the St. Charles Rehab team serving the Central Oregon community. She enjoys collaborating with providers and integrating holistic and functional interventions with her patients that not only serve to address the current physical symptom, but also aim at solving underlying impairments that would otherwise prevent full recovery. Whether its an injury from an accident, guidance for lifestyle health changes, training for a sport, or recovering from surgery, Meg believes in treating the whole person, looking at all systems to help restore balance and to facilitate optimal function, and utilizing preventative strategies to minimize re-injury.

Meg has an extensive educational and diverse work experience background. She is Board Certified in Orthopedics and is recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. While working for a Trauma I Medical Center in San Francisco, she was part of a select group of physical therapists who interacted closely with University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) medical residents and surgeons to triage patients with orthopedic injuries. On the side, she served as a clinician proctor/educator for UCSF Physical Therapy Graduate School, and lab assisted for their specialized manual therapy technique courses. She's presented case studies at national conferences and has served as a committee member for Kaiser Permanente's Physical Therapy Scholarship program. She is trained in Pilates through Balanced Body and is certified as a Running Coach with Road Runners Club of America.
