Lisa Dunning LMFT received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Behavior from University of California, Irvine and her master’s in psychology, marriage and family therapy from Chapman University in Calif. She also spent two years at University of California, San Diego to complete the play therapy certificate program.
Lisa has worked in a boys group home setting, as a community marriage and family therapist in Redmond and Bend and as a clinical program manager for a day treatment center in Central Oregon. She has extensive experience working from a trauma-informed framework with young children through adolescence and uses play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy. Lisa also specializes in needs of LGBTQIA+ individuals. Being trauma informed and meeting each individual where they are is very important to Lisa when treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mild autism and grief/loss as well as implementing parenting training.
Lisa enjoys spending time outside, gardening and hiking. She also enjoys quilting and spending time with her family, dogs and horses.
