About Hughes

Dr. Hughes is originally from Saigon, Vietnam and moved to Missouri when she was 10 years old. Dr. Hughes is a graduate from West Point Military Academy and became a Naval Officer. She earned her medical degree at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (the founding DO school). She completed her residency for general surgery at Suncoast Hospital in Largo, Florida. She then completed her bariatric fellowship at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Hughes now specializes in bariatric surgery including Roux-En-Y and Gastric Sleeve, plus lap band removals only. In her free time, Dr.Hughes enjoys hiking around Oregon, running, and being with family.
