Tim was originally born and raised in California's Bay Area where he lived through his high school years. After graduation, Tim moved to Tempe, Arizona where he earned a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Arizona State, after which he returned to the Bay Area to complete his schooling at Samuel Merritt University, graduating in 2009 with his doctorate in physical therapy.
Tim quickly realized his passion for treating patients with complex medical conditions in the inpatient setting. He went on to complete a fellowship in proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), a physical therapy approach specializing in treating abnormal movement patterns associated with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal impairments.
When he's not at the hospital, Tim can be found in the woods chasing his wife and kids on bikes or skis or possibly drifting down stream in the family raft.
